Description
As the classic said: "Ah, France, there is no better land in the world!" (W. Shakespeare). Vadim Glusker's vivid book is further proof of this. Having worked as an NTV correspondent in this country for 10 years now, the author knows it firsthand, and in 2010 - the Year of France in Russia - he created a memorable series of programs that formed the basis of the book. Why, thanks to what achievements of its culture, has France been and remained one of the world's leaders, one of the centers of attraction for universal human interests? Why, regardless of political vicissitudes, is France especially close to our compatriots, and what historical threads connect our countries? Vadim Glusker answers these questions with genuine sincerity and often with intriguing stories about the mysteries and secrets of this great country.
